Questions and answers regarding the MyPALSystem Program
1. Finding, training and putting to work your MyPALs sounds fascinating. Can you tell me more about how this came about and why the Philippines?
For the past 7 years, Mike has tried to understand emerging markets, mainly BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and how their cultures scaffold people in order to solve social problems.
In visiting the Philippines as part of that process and in a dual role of trying to find the location of a new Asia center of operations for his own businesses, Mike saw widespread poverty in such a way that was appalling for two reasons: waste of humanity and no underlying scaffolding for really poor people, especially in two areas, single mothers and girls who had attended and/or graduated–using all their families resources, often overusing with debt, in the process of attending school, with the hopes that a college education could be the answer to poverty.
Mike immediately saw an opportunity to where he could take the MyPALSystem that he had been working on since 1999, using more economical off-shore labor to R&D his own ideas and operations with cheaper info-labor. Because the Philippinos speak, with widely differing levels of competence, the English language, Mike felt that there were some attributes that could be leveraged over time in both directions.
The jury is still out on his hypotheses, but for each job we create, we see a large number of associated gains in the extended family of these people, keeping them off the street, and offering basics, such as three meals a day, and help with schooling for the generations following.
2. Can you share a success story about one of your site MyPALs?
The Philippinos in general are very shy, and humble and as a group you can generalize that they are most often interested in harmony, rather than getting ahead–a certainly worthy, yet often crippling attribute in terms of success stories.
Mike believes we have many success stories. So how can you say the program is not successful when people get the opportunity to eat and feed their families, for any length of time!
He remembers one of them writing to him…”this is the first time that my family has eaten 3 meals in one day on a regular basis, we were always happy with 1 or 2.” (25-year-old single mom.)
Another at age 21, going back to high school and choosing to struggle with the social stigma of being too old for high school, but realizing it was a way out.
One success story that stands out is a girl who brought her friend from college, who also couldn’t find work for 2 years after graduating, and at the time there were no openings in our program, as openings are often hard to create–as we attempt 2 years of scaffolding them with increasing levels of salary, before they can actually become self-directed contractors, hiring out to other people for web services, or related work.
These two girls were such good friends, that they SHARED a salary for more than 6 weeks, in order for them both to work in the system. The girl who worked the shared salary, after one year–to make the story short–became our leading MyPAL and is an example to others in the system, that hard work and dedication do pay off.
Each MyPAL has their own story and while we do see people come and go, because of a myriad of reasons, during the time we have the MyPALs in service, they have access to the program to learn skills that can help them their whole lives.
In other success stories, we have been able to get a computer into a household in many cases, to release the opportunity for learning about the WWW for younger members of the family, who would have never had the opportunity.
A single mom, only 18 years old, uses her MyPAL money to support her mother, who has had a stroke, with regular therapy, while also attending college at nights.
It is amazing to see what a regular job can do for people who are determined to break out of the poverty cycle. We have dozens weekly who wish to apply and find work to support their dreams and we just don’t have the openings available, which is why we need to extend the system outside of our internal businesses.
3. How can one person make a difference in the lives of people half way around the world?
The simple way to explain this is to show how we couple passioneering with low-cost labor. In the Philippines, $100 dollars a month provides a starting salary and infrastructure support for each MyPAL. [Note: think of your MyPAL as your own virtual personal assistant. When you compare the price of other virtual assistants then you are getting a bargain.]
We enable them quickly with Internet skills which allow them to begin searching, what we call “clipping” on topics they are given, which passion-wise, are critical to passioneers for R&D, and business building.
It’s very difficult to marry someone earning $50 a day (min wage in the USA), with a person paying $100 a month, the mechanics don’t add up. The passioneur (new word meaning someone building a business in their passion) doesn’t get the R&D support they need, along with our proprietary Happeneur System of web-based scaffolding for their passion, which creates access points, info-delivery and database maintenance to grow the network required to be successful with their passion.
We need the coupling of low-cost labor at around $3 – $5 a day, in order to create the opportunity any passioneur can afford per month.
4. I am a visual person and would really like to see some pictures of the girls I would be supporting through the effort. Do you have any pictures I could look at?
Here is a link to some of our MyPALs who have been in and around our system, not all are current, some are on sabbatical with family issues, or other life events, but in general, you can get a flavor of the MyPALs and see their pictures and stories here: http://www.mypalsystem.ph/profile/
As you see, we are adding people to the profile all the time, who have as yet, not completed their own profile/story, but that occurs over the first six months of their association with the program and many need that much time to think about what their own story is, or how they will tell it.
For the most part, our system includes only a few people with formal education above 6th grade.
The following are some pictures one of our Diamonds, Manya Arond-Thomas took when she and her husband, James, took while visiting Mike in the Philippines.
Below are some pictures of the MyPALS at work and doing good, by sharing with others.

Manya’s last day with the MyPALS. Manya is one of our Diamonds.
In viewing Manya’s pictures of her visit to the Philippines, I just had to toss in two pictures of the beautiful Island of Camotes. Those of you who join us will have opportunities to join Mike in his “Mike’s Big Idea” and perhaps have a time share in this beautiful island paradise.
5. Yes, it is good to be able to help others in need, but I need to take care of myself and my family first. How will joining your program help?
In Mike’s ALMOST 25 years of coaching clients around the world and in as many cultures, the ONE THING that is clear to him and stands out is that until you get clear about who you are, you will always sub-optimize your capability to monetize your gifts.
Passioneering encompasses a purposeful approach to leveraging who you are over time. Each of us has gifts around our passion, and the program elements, we combine, such as my Happeneur System, MyPALSystem and our daily incremental coaching system, all work together with you and a small amount of your investment out-of-pocket each month to help scaffold you to extend who you are into areas that allow you to reach out and monetize your passions and gifts.
I guarantee you that this journey for a 2-year period will be–if you just work with us, and attend some of the included programs will demonstrate that a defined process and the right kind of support and scaffolding will produce amazing results for you, as a professional.
6. I am 43 years old and I still do not think I could describe what I am passionate about. What would a person like me do to get started in your program?
Register and begin the journey. One of the key elements in every journey of a 1000 miles…is but a single step…and after that, another and another. Most people are “deer in the headlights” when it comes to monetizing their passion, but time with our team and especially with Mike Jay, who tongue in cheek, claims to be the World’s Most Innovative Coach, will expose you to ideas and paths you never saw before in your journey.
7. I have been reading a lot lately about the USA economy and how it is in big trouble. I need to save all my money for what may be coming down the road. So why should I consider tying up my money in something like your program?
You won’t find disagreement with us on that. A saving program, especially now is critical, and if I could earmark only $2,500 which you pay but $100 monthly, I guarantee that you will boost your ability to save, equal too, or greater over time. If within the first 90 days of the program, you are not happy with where it’s going, you can stop and leave the program with everything we have created for you and 90 days of clarity, that you didn’t have before, about what are the next steps for you.
While it’s good to lower consumption, pay off bad debt–debt created for depreciating assets, or consumables; you also want to begin to position yourself to live in a new world. If we stopped here and didn’t say another thing but this, the program would be worth 10 times what you paid and here’s why.
Mike Jay and team have spent the past 10 years calling the shots about what happens next. This capability will help you navigate what are going to be very dangerous waters as our entire system goes through a paradigm shock of millennial amplitude.
Having a guide, and nothing less than a community of people attuned to growing and leveraging their gifts is as good as it gets in uncertain times.
Your $100 a month will be an investment that truly positions you to optimize your life, work and relationships in the coming years, as the world turns.
8. Your guarantee sounds a bit weak. Most online businesses offer a money back guarantee and you just mention you will not bill us any more if we want out. I don’t want to lose even $97 if I realize this program is not for me. What options will I have?
Bottom line, what all those other programs sell you is a proven system that will in almost all cases be yours to keep with no refunds because you end up not applying for the guarantee because you feel guilty because you didn’t jump through the hoops.
When you quit their programs (read the fine print and understand you bought yourself a performance requirement!), there is no refund, no guarantee, THEY DEPEND ON YOU QUITTING if you are not happy and THEY KEEP YOUR MONEY! because you didn’t “perform”.
In our program, we believe we have the best guarantee on the planet. A no-fault program, where if you believe you are not getting the value you deserve each month through our coaching, scaffolding and research and development community, you quit and KEEP YOUR MONEY. You don’t have to keep performing in order to get your money back. You can JUST QUIT if you feel it’s a mistake you made. You can walk away with the balance of your money and the work the MyPALs did for you in the process, along with access to our audio programs, and live group coaching…the friends you discovered and the ideas you got while in the program.
I don’t know how to make our guarantee more honest or stronger than it is with this understanding
9. Your site is called “Happeneur.com”. What is “Happeneur” because I do not find it in the dictionary?
Happeneur is simply, a person, or system that makes things happen.
Most people who will sign up for this program, are NOT active experimenters, a part of the Kolb Learning Cycle, which has people failing to succeed, in other words trial and error, persistence, hardiness, etc.
Mike Jay is the exemplar for Happeneur.
You can read more about what is a Happeneur on the “Happeneur Defined” page.
He ruthlessly keeps actively experimenting around the globe in a trial and error fashion that would shake most people off the limb almost immediately, and in that process has discovered how to create the Happeneurship approach, centered around providing scaffolding for you to monetize your gifts using the WWW, and even provides you with people who will do the heavy lifting for you…you just guide the system with your incremental learning about yourself and your passion.
Making things happen is something that is missing in most professional and independent tool kits, because we have been reared on the institution and the scaffolding institutions, corporations and communities that provide the active experimenting system for us.
10. Saying you will help me “monetize my passion” sounds really great, but what does that really mean to me?
We will keep this simple:
1. Get clear.
2. Scaffold you to take guided-actions.
3. Push through barriers you will have and naturally encounter–for you!
4. Hold your hand and link you to a community of people going in the same direction.
5. Help you to earn money and the potential for future income, while you sleep.
6. Aggregate interest, convert that interest into actionable opportunities, and harvest the seeds we show you how and where to plant.
7. Do a lot of the work for you, instead of teaching you how to do it, by you not doing the work that doesn’t match your personality dynamics.
8. Collaborate with you and teach you how to collaborate with a global community.
9. Encourage and inspire you to integrate our learning into your decision-making.
10. Celebrate with you along the way, as you build a strong foundation around your gifts and learn to leverage passion for your own and your customer’s happiness AND success.
11. I would like to know more about who Mike Jay is and who the Happeneur team is. Can you tell me a little bit more about you and the voice behind the 2nd video and who the “team” is?
To learn more about Mike Jay and the Happeneur Team refer to the “About Us” page.
12. You mentioned in your introductory video that you would be building WordPress sites for us. Isn’t WordPress set up such that anyone can build them? If that is the case then what are you offering that we can’t do for ourselves?
Well, WordPress is not the only tool we use, but learning how to use and THEN keep up with ever-increasing complexity around using it, is probably more than you find you will want–>enter MyPALs to get the job done everyday.
We would love for you to learn basics so you can update at will, however, we realize for busy people, this is next to impossible and low-payoff, because you’ll find that few of you, have a passion for WordPress, or for that matter, any of the other mechanics that are involved.
Poll any of your friends who have purchased these WordPress programs, or other high-mechanics involved programs, see how many of them hit the wall, quickly.
The secret to the happeneurship system is getting the tough, boring stuff done for you on a regular basis. Along with WordPress, we apply other mechanics, that you won’t want to learn. If your passion is learning how to build web-sites, we can suggest alternate programs! If your passion, as undiscovered as it might be, is other than managing the technical aspects of the web, we believe, your best bet is with us. We can take you farther, faster and with more clarity than any other program out there with a multi-phasic approach to passioneering.
Perhaps most importantly is getting quality traffic to your WordPress site. We keep on top of the latest cutting edge techniques to drive free traffic to your site. That is the main reason we recently switched to building WordPress sites.
13. Once our sites are built why do we need to keep paying for two full years? What is the benefit to us?
The two years supports the MyPALSystem scaffolding, we feel the MyPALs need about 2 years (like vocational training) to mature enough in their experience and skills to be somewhat self-employed, or enter contracting with the public.
If you are working in your passion, you’ll hope that we continue to offer this program forever, because this is a journey with no end, it is continuous and while it can be on autopilot, it needs regular tending and loving care, and that $100 a month, will be the best peace of mind investment you’ll make, along with the way in which to keep your site(s) optimal over time. Literally over time, you buy a virtual assistant service for less than $3 a day! The leverage here is figuratively out of this world.
The MyPALs will be working daily behind the scene ensuring your site is operational. It will be their job to catch problems before those problems have a negative impact on your site(s). People are paying $50/month just to have someone watch their site and your MyPAL will be doing much more.
14. What is the purpose of your survey page? To me it doesn’t add anything to what I want.
The survey page is the driver for all your R&D, and the window through which your potential customer will reach, and show you where to open others, because of the quality and quantity you will harvest with this simple tool. Your MyPAL will provide you with survey comments each week, that will show you buying motives, reasons for being, opportunities to create new products and setup new access to your passioneering system.
Without a doubt, the simple survey page is the hub of your R&D and innovation and it’s innovation that will light the path of your passion!
